Most Moving Moment at a Concert

Most Moving Moment at a Concert

Postby Zarniwoop on Sat Oct 10, 2015 10:27 pm

OK 1st post here!
Watching Floyd on TV at the moment got me thinking about the most moving moment you have had at a concert.I don't like the song "Great Gig in the Sky" but seeing it sung live was fantastic, and the No1 moment for me,hair on the back of the neck moment it was.
Followed by Whitney Houston in her prime singing "I wanna Dance"

Anyone?

Hello Mr Zarniwoop, the groove of a Jah Wobble gig almost got me dancing once.

I do like to watch concerts on TV though - as then I can do it while avoiding crowds.

I went to see loads of groups last year, yes, mostly with young, not-unattrctive, lady singers often with daft names. But this year I've only seen Adam Ant, and later this month Toyah. :sadyes:

I liked watching the posh london types walking out of TG gig saying it was just noise. I assumed they were being 'ironic', but I'm not so sure.

It's hours of waiting around, getting irritated by people, trying to make that 1 plastic cup of diet coke last all the evening as it cost £3.50 (not London weighted) why trying not to think how much you need to go for a wee so some 6 foot seven person in a big hat moves into YOUR SPOT. Oh and you're always looking at the time as you've got a train/bus to catch.

The best ones are in little back rooms of pubs.

but then I'm a elitist snob who likes little obscure groups that never got anywhere.

Novak were better than David Bowie.

I really should have gone to see Low, and Peaches this year, but I could''t be bothered. :sadyes:

That's the group Low, and the 'singer' Peaches, not a group called low and Peaches. :ydsm:

I still think Chlöe Howl could have made it big if they'd actually released anything by her. :fanny:

I used to love The Wall by Pink Floyd, I spent many a teenage year obsessed with it. But I had absolutly no interest in seeing Roger Waters show.

Maybe I've changed, and got old, or young, or something, for that sort of gubbins these days.

Well, this thread has been a success. Looks like when Mr. Z comes back from his Intergalactic cruse he'll have a lot of shoes to sell* to talk about.

:sadyes:

*Actually that works in a Hitch Hiker, and a Spam referencing way. :smug:
