Here's where you can post your favourite (and least favourite) cover versions. I shall return to post my choices later.

I, erm, quite liked Enuff Z' Nuff in my youth :shifty: , but this cover of Jealous Guy has to be a contender for worst ever

I found that worryingly enjoyable.

I think I need a doctor.

It's the combination that had to happen; Ronnie Spector, with Bruce Springsteen's E Street band, doing Billy Joel's Say Goodbye to Hollywood.

Did Bette Midler do a version of this or am I just going mad?

Susanna Hoffs - Different Drum. Why did Blondie never do a cover of this (assuming they didn't)? It has, "Oi, Blondie, cover me," written all over it.

I remember watching this video repeatedly on The Box when we first got cable, it must have been about 1992ish :D

^^

Lucky you - I always wanted Cable or Sky when I was a teenager to watch endless music shows. I couldn't care less now.

It does have to be said that the Rage version of that song is better than the Bryan Adams version. It was a favourite of mine on Now 23. :D

From what I remember Cable only had The Box, VH1 and some other channel, all of which just repeated the same stuff in a different order. Sky had MTV, which was HUGE then, a few of my friends had it, but my mom always said Sky was too expensive :(

^^ We had MTV in the early 90s. Paul King from the group King was a VJ on it.

They always seemed to be playing Roxette. :bawl:

Well MY mom never let us have Sky simply because she didn't want a satellite dish stuck on the house.

It annoys me so when what seems like many people around my age talk about Paul King being on MTV. I still to this day have never seen any evidence to prove that he was on it so I'll never believe you! :eviltongue:
And don't start digging out YouTube videos as I just won't watch them! :rollingpin:

But why do you think everyone says he was on it if he wasn't? There was a bloke called Ray Cokes as well. I don't know what happened to him.

PS.

I remember them both

Do you remember a show called Headbangers Ball, showing heavy metal videos? From what I can remember it was on quite late, we both quite fancied the presenter, I think her name was Vanessa.

I vaguely remember it. What a well-dressed woman she was.

I can't remember any of the other presenters. There was some woman with a Scandinavian name I seem to think.

^^ My friend from school, he was the only one at the time who had a Sky dish, we used to sit in his bedroom and watch either MTV, or a new show on Sky 1 called The Simpsons, for hours. Headbangers Ball was a favourite. Didn't Beavis and Butthead originate from there? Or maybe it was on straight after.
