There were too many leaves on the lawn for me to mow - huge sycamore leaves. :drown:

Yes, but constant leaf raking along with bending and picking the leaves up is too much effort terribly back breaking. :aristojar:

I don't pick them up, I just rake them onto the beds to serve as a weed-suppressing mulch over the winter.

I actually put grass cuttings on the beds which seem to keep some of the weeds down. And it means I don't fill up the green bin too quickly.

I used secateurs, a spade and the Neverbend Root Breaker which proved its worth a couple of summers ago in my epic battle against the ivy.
