Have you ever had a Slinky?

Postby Call_of_the_Wendigo on Tue Dec 14, 2010 9:00 pm

There's been many a time I've looked at my stairs and thought, "What they could do with is a giant floppy spring striding down them." And so, inspired by that video Ray posted, the time has come to put the question that all the world's asking; Have you ever had a Slinky?

I haven't - although, whenever I see one, I always feel like I should buy one. Are you similarly bereft or has your life at some point been blessed by the spring that walks?

I could never get them to 'slink' down the stairs for any more than a couple of steps and they would always get tangled and bent beyond repair almost immediately.

Bent slinkys - story of my life. :(

I remember my older cousin brought a slinky to our house many, many years ago but it couldn't go down our stairs as each step was too big - too wide or something - not very steep. It would fall over the first step but would then just flop over onto the same step and stop. :bawl:

My friend Mark had a silver one.
My nephew had a neon rainbow one.
Not me though.

Aww at the cat.

I wonder if there are any outtakes where a child gets hit in the face. :shifty:
