The Nightjar appreciation thread

Infinite are the chambers of the Hall of the Wendigo and here's where we can discuss them all.

He and I are of the same vintage yet I feel he is so much more knowledgeable than me. I'm not jealous though. I appreciate and admire his vast wealth of knowledge and experience, especially in areas I know nothing about. Such as art, ladies, relationships.

Also I enjoy his stories. One of my personal favs was a time he was happily walking with fish n chips when a nasty scary man have a go at him. While it may not have been a pleasant anecdote, it felt as though I was right there with him.

:bowtie:

Incidentally, I wasn't walking with a bag of chips. I was instead walking to the shops at the end of my street (when I was probably about 19 years old and still living at my Mum's place in Ladbroke Grove) and I happened to recall a wish I'd made when I was probably quite small - namely that if I was a millionaire I'd eat nothing but chips all the time.

Obviously my logic was that:

a) I'd be so rich and powerful I could do what I wanted. :box:

b) In my young brayne, chips were clearly the very height of exquisite luxury. :aristojar:

This sudden thought made me burst out laughing to myself as I strolled along, but unfortunately at that very moment a nutter with tattoos on his face was walking past me the other way and angrily accused me of taking the m*ckey out of him and chased me down the road. :bawl:

Yes that's the one! Bless.

I remembered it a little wrong, but seeing it retold here warms my cockles. It just oozes post-Th*tcherism.

I've not bogged off, I've been staying at friends for the last couple of days and it always wears me out so I'm tired and can't bothered to post, but I was about to say that Wonderwall is on on London Live - Freeview Channel 8! :gasp:
