What radio shows do you listen to?

It would appear that Radio 2's current oldest presenter is Don Black who's 78.

However, Wikipedia gives no age for Nigel Ogden but Nigel Ogden doesn't look to be 78 or above in his photo.

Brian Matthew had been missing from his 60s show for some weeks. He didn't exactly sound "lively" when I heard him.

So I understand that as of this week both Janice Long and Alex Lester are no longer with Radio 2! :gasp: :dontpanic:

Their late night shows have been replaced by the repeats of the Brian Matthew Tim Rice 60s show, Johnnie Walker 70s show and Sara Cox 80s show, all of which have been brought forward from their usual 3am time to replace Mr Lester and Ms. Long. These shows in turn have been replaced with something really bizarre, some sort of random "playlist" thing. :sly:

Janice Long was actually the first person I ever listened to on Radio 2. I was on holiday in the far north of Scotland in the summer of 2001 and Radio 2 was the only radio station I could pick up at night in the otherwise silent, dark and scary Highlands.

And look at what was on earlier!

I do wish Absolute 80s would stop playing Don't Stop Believing by.... I don't even know who it's by - it wasn't a hit in the UK and most people wouldn't associate it with the 80s but circa 2009 when X Factor made it famous!

And PLEASE - stop playing Living On A Prayer by Bon Jovi!
